Enjoy an absorbing, exhilarating insight into the natural environment on and around internationally renowned wildlife islands. Every day is different - weather, sea conditions, wildlife behaviour - come to look, watch, photograph and enjoy. 

Puffins are resident from early April usually until mid-August. In August and September we focus on history and geology and look for varied, sometimes rare, migrant birds. 

We sail from Dunbar harbour, around the Bass Rock,  and we land at the Isle of May.  Make sure you take your food and drink with you to enjoy on the Isle. 

Please note: This tour sails only from Dunbar harbour. It does not sail pick-up at any other locations.

THE ISLE OF MAY

The Isle of May is a national Nature Reserve owned by NatureScot. To protect wildlife, a 3-hour period each day is open for all visitors to the Isle - and visitor numbers are limited to maximum 140 people.

Our tours run from 1 April and 30 September. Please choose your tour date carefully to see different bird species, seals, or learn more about the island history.

For safety and to avoid disturbing wildlife, it is important that you keep to the paths at all times. Please don't stray because this may destroy nests and bird breeding grounds.

We have a toilet on board our boat and there are basic toilet facilities on the Island at the visitor hub. There are no shops on the Isle. 

CLEAN SCENE : LEAVE NO TRACE -  Please leave a clean marine environment - take all your litter with you and dispose of it properly back on the mainland.
